Custom Quilting

Custom Quilting is a collaboration between the customer and the longarmer. The customer is the creative director, and the longarmer makes the idea become a reality.

Angee Loebick won 1st place at the 2026 Knox County Quilt Show with this custom quilt from Thread, White & Blue.

Timeline

When the customer drops off their quilt, a plan is made for what will be done. This could be free motion quilting, ruler work, stitch in the ditch, computerized patterns, or a combination of a couple of techniques.

It can take 3 to 10 days to complete one quilt, with the result being a one-of-a-kind heirloom

Pricing

The process of completing a custom quilt will always include a one-hour charge for planning and selection of quilt design. The cost of custom quilting starts at $0.10 a square inch due to the amount of time put into each project.
